Accessibility statement
Hermann Jansen GmbH & Co. KG (Autohaus Jansen, Lingen and Haselünne) offers the following services on this website: searching and comparing vehicles, vehicle enquiries, test drives, call-back and financing requests, trade-in valuation with upload of the registration certificate, booking workshop and glass-repair appointments, price alerts and search agents, and buying gift vouchers. This statement covers all of these services in German, English and Dutch.
How the requirements are met
The website is designed to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA, which correspond to the harmonised standard EN 301 549. In detail:
- Every function can be operated with the keyboard alone, and the keyboard focus is always visible. “Skip to content” takes you straight to the main content.
- Dialogs take the focus when they open and close with the Escape key; the focus then returns to where you opened the dialog.
- Every form field has a visible label that screen readers also announce. Error messages are announced.
- Text and controls have a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1. Links within body text are underlined.
- At 400 % zoom or a width of 320 pixels the content remains readable without horizontal scrolling.
- If you have set “reduce motion” on your device, the website shows no animations.
- Vehicle images have text alternatives naming the make, model and trim. Every page declares its language.
Every change to the website is checked automatically before it is published (axe-core plus keyboard and dialog checks, in all three languages). A change with barriers rated “serious” or “critical” is not published.
Compliance status
Based on our review of 30 September 2026, this website is largely compliant with the requirements above. The following content comes from third parties or has not been tested by us:
- The payment field in the gift-voucher checkout is provided by the payment provider Stripe. Stripe is responsible for its accessibility; we have not tested it ourselves.
- The AI chat is provided by a third party and only loads with your consent. Only the entry point has been tested, not the chat itself. You can also resolve any request by phone or through the contact form.
- The location maps are provided by Google Maps and have not been tested. The addresses are also shown as text on the page.
- A purchased gift voucher is sent as a PDF by e-mail. The accessibility of this PDF has not been tested; on request we will send you the details in an accessible form.
