With BYD, one of the world's largest manufacturers of electric vehicles arrives in the Emsland. At our site in Lingen you can look at the BYD models, take a test drive and talk things through in peace — in person, on site, without being rushed. The vehicles are sold by Rahenbrock GmbH & Co. KG, Lingen branch.

The BYD model range

BYD now covers almost every segment — from the small city car to the large family SUV. These models are fully electric:

• BYD DOLPHIN SURF — the compact way into electric mobility, made for the city and the daily commute.
• BYD DOLPHIN — a compact car with surprising room inside.
• BYD ATTO 2 and BYD ATTO 3 EVO — compact SUVs for everyday life and family.
• BYD SEAL — the brand's sporty electric saloon.
• BYD SEALION 7 — an SUV coupé in the upper segment.
• BYD TANG — a large SUV with three rows of seats.

If you are not quite ready for the full step, BYD also offers the Super DM plug-in hybrids: ATTO 2 DM-i, DOLPHIN G DM-i, SEAL U DM-i and SEAL 6 DM-i Touring. They run on electricity day to day and carry a combustion engine for the long haul.

Blade battery: BYD builds its own cells

BYD is not purely a carmaker. The company came out of battery development and still makes the cells for its own vehicles — which is the exception in this industry. At the heart of it is the Blade battery: flat, long lithium iron phosphate cells integrated directly into the vehicle floor. That saves space, lowers the centre of gravity and is considered particularly robust. On the e-Platform 3.0 it is joined by a drive unit that combines motor, transmission and power electronics in a single package.

Test drive and advice in Lingen

Electric mobility raises questions: range in winter, charging at home or on the road, wallbox, charging card, residual value. We take the time to go through all of it with you — honestly, including when an electric car turns out not to suit your driving profile. On request we will check together whether a current government subsidy applies to you. The simplest answer is usually to drive one yourself, so arrange a test drive.
